Thanksgiving, the American festival representing the coming together of Native Americans and Plymouth Colony Pilgrims and the celebration of the combined harvest, was held Tuesday at the apartment of one of the AEGEE-Aachen members as an internal get-together. Around 25 guests were present from AEGEE-Aachen and one from AEGEE-Maastricht. The main dish of the evening, a 7-kilogram turkey, was roasted for 6.5 hours before being carved in front of the hungry on-lookers. Other dishes, including mashed potatoes, baked beans and pecan pie, were also provided by hungry guests and were completely devoured after the event. The Dinner was a huge success and will more than likely inspire more such events in the future!
